I've always wondered by those posts. How are they constructed? Straight concrete or steel reinforced? And how far is it buried in the ground?

They’re usually hollow steel filled with concrete and sometimes rebar. And buried a few feet into the ground, and backfilled with more concrete.

They are most certainly reinforced. They probably aren’t as deep as you expect but instead hooked to a pad that’s buried below the surface.
